Our Mission... Powerteam is a ministry focused on
inner city children, teens, and families by helping them ‘win
in the game of life’. Powerteam manages several components
of ministry through The Blessing Boutique, Financial Peace
Training, and Camp Cool. The Blessing Boutique helps low income
families with clothing and household goods through their locations
in east and west Charlotte. Financial Peace Training holds
weekly sessions to assist youth and adults in understanding
budgeting and financial management. Camp Cool hosts a Summer
and Basketball camp for inner city children and youth.
Our Leader... Darlene Pitts understands what it means
to ‘win in the game of life’. As a single parent
for eighteen years, Darlene overcame poverty to lead her family
into home ownership and send her children to college. Throughout
the years of struggle Darlene never failed to look beyond
her trials to reach other people with the hope and healing
found in Jesus. Darlene founded Powerteam as a direct response
to the needs she found in the urban community.
